AWI Magazine Power Hour: Hosted By Bill Ashton reviewing the first episode of XWA Fever in the new era of XWA

*The familiar older looking newsroom almost like something out of a 80s movie complete with type writers and copy machines in the background is seen on the screen. The camera pans to our host near an old coffee machine just finishing pouring himself a cup of Joe. He holds the steaming cup  saluting the camera as the opening show credits momentarily creep onto the screen and then cut abruptly to Bill Ashton editor of American Wrestling Illustrated…the number 70157th source for wrestling news!*

Is In AWI Newsroom and says: “welcome fans to another edition of AWI online!” *The camera follows me to a battered old oak desk with a large AWI banner hanging on the wall behind it. I take my seat setting down the coffee cup next to an old typewriter on the desk. I clear my throat continuing my introduction to the show.* “As always I am joined via satellite by the one and only Dale Metzger, Editor of the Wrestling Watchtower!” *Metzger thanks me for the introduction* “You are welcome Dale! Lets get started! We are going to be reviewing the inaugural episode of XWA Fever but before we get to that we have some shocking news on the heels of the R.D. Bradley Memorial tournament! Rich Myers better know to fans as BONESAW JACK, has QUIT XWA!”

Live Via Satellite: That’s right Bill, my sources tell me there was a very heated exchange between Bonesaw and Alexis Santos & Bubba Riley! In fact if you go back to the show and watch segment just before the tournament finals with Anthony Shiffone looking for a news scoop, just before Carnage or as it turned out Jon Hardcastle Jr, left the dressing room there was muffled yelling and screaming that could be heard. That wasn’t apart of the show script that was the actual blow up between Bonesaw and the new management! Shortly after the cameras were off backstage Bonesaw walked out and almost turned the end of the show on it’s ear as he was suppose to play a big part in the ending!”

I spoke to Bonesaw earlier today on the phone and he shed some light on the situation! Lets hear what Rich Myers AKA Bonesaw Jack had to say about the situation!”

Are you no longer under the employ of XWA? If so can you shed some light on what exactly happened at the tournament?”

Is on the phone and says: I hear ya loud and clear Billy! Yeah it’s true I am officially a free agent. As to what happened at the tournament, well I was going over the end of the tournament and my role in the outcome with Alexis, Bubba and Jon Jr. in my dressing room. It was still very unclear to me what my role was going to be within the new regime faction. I wanted to know where I fit in to all of this. I wanted to know what the payoff was going to be at the end. All they would tell me was “we’ve got big plans for you”. What you have to understand Bill is by turning on AWX and joining XWA I stood to lose a lot of merchandise money. I mean whose gonna be buying Bonesaw shirts and action figures and so on when I sellout to XWA? NOBODY that’s who. So if I’m going to do this I want to know what the plan is and I think after all these years I’ve at least earned that. Anyway it just felt like 2003 all over again. I told Alexis and Bubba so and that if they couldn’t give some definitive answers then I wasn’t on board. Then everything went to hell. Alexis got hysterical and accused me of sabotaging the show and threatened law suits and Bubba did much the same. That was it for me I didn’t need that crap so grabbed my gear and walked out.

Is on the phone and says: “I was suppose to run from the crowd and make it look I was about to attack Carnage but then at Alexis’ direction I was to attack Crimson turning on AWX and allowing Carnage to get the pin. Essentially what the “other” guy did. I was to become Alexis and Bubba’s lackey. I’ll give em credit for thinking on the fly. They took a kid named Parker Joseph who had a passing resemblance to me, threw a Mason knock off mask on him and called him Unknown and threw him into the mix.  This is what the new “look” for Mason the Mutilator was suppose to be..” *A personal photo taken at a promo shoot is shown on the screen*

“…Not bad eh Billy? It was a play on a storyline I did years ago in XCW where I was trying to get Tommy Forever to join XWA I referred to Bubba and Alexis as Uncle Bubba and Auntie Alexis and I even wore a shirt that said “Please forgive me Uncle Bubba”. Anyway that’s about the short and long of it all Bill.”

Bill Ashton

Is on the phone and says: “So Basically Unknown was a stand in for Mason the Mutilator is what you are saying in a nutshell. You mentioned 2003, for years there have been rumors and speculation as to why you left XWA so quickly back then. Roughly about 2 weeks after signing on with XWA. Many say you left to join your friend and trainer Krull Valhalla in his upstart JEWCW state side. What is the real scoop?

bonesaw2

Bonesaw Jack

Is on the phone and says: “There’s no denying that Krull and JEWCW were a big factor in my decision to leave XWA in 2003 but that wasn’t the actual reason. Let me walk you through my time in XWA back in 2003…There I was headlining shows in XCW making good money…not great but good…at least when the cheques  didn’t bounce. I get a call from Krull saying he can get me into XWA. He said I’d make a lot more money and I wouldn’t have to tear the hell out of myself in front bingo hall and school gym crowds anymore. So yeah I jumped at it! After all I had a family to feed. Anyway I head to Miami and to XWA Headquarters to sign the contract and get started on my XWA career. So I’m ready to give XWA Bonesaw Jack like they’ve never seen him before but then they tell me they don’t want Bonesaw Jack and that I need a fresh new gimmick. They put me in a sh*t brown outfit and a partial mask and dub me “Mason the Mutilator”. I hated the name, I hated the gimmick, I hated everything to do with Mason the Mutilator. Fast forward to almost 2 weeks later and my debut match and as it turned out my last match in XWA. I get to the arena and check the board and I see that they have me penciled in to wrestle one of their top guys “Nightmare”. I’m thinking this is great I’m going to wrestle Nightmare in my first match! I’m getting put into a program with one of the top guys in the company! So I go to Nightmare’s dressing room so we can go over our match and what we are going to do out there. Nightmare lays out a bell to bell squash match and guess whose getting squashed? Me! I manage to talk Nightmare into letting me do a few of my trademark moves. For the record I have no problem putting anyone over in a match as long as it’s done right. If that match had been done right it could have led to a great Nightmare / Mason feud. Instead Nightmare sandbagged me and no sold my stuff making me look weak and out of his league and to top it all off when it came time for me to get in a few of my trademark moves some other guy came out on the stage and cut a promo on another guy. None of this had anything to do with the match going on in the ring and of course all the cameras were on the promo guy during my offensive flurry so no one watching at home saw a thing. The play by play announcer completely ignored the match in the ring when promo guy came out…not that she was paying much attention to match to begin with. So I did the job and then promptly left the building. I was lied too, misused, and made a fool of. To say I was furious would be an understatement. Krull called me up having saw the match and apologized to me. He figured I was being punished by the company because he and I were friends. Krull told me that if I left XWA that I’d have a home in JEWCW state side if I wanted it. So with that in mind I called up Alexis and told her exactly what I thought of the way I was treated by the company and if there weren’t some significant changes then I was done with XWA. Alexis threw a hissy fit and told me if I didn’t like the way she and Bubba were running things then I could leave. I said fine and I left and the rest as they say is history.”

Hell, I’m still open to working with Alexis and Bubba. Honestly most of the bad blood is from them. As far as I’m concerned the past is the past. I know they are probably still pissed at me for walking out in 2003 and definitely pissed at me for walking out again now and I’m sure the parody skits left a bad taste in their mouths too. Ironically the parody thing was suppose to be a one shot deal but Alexis reacted to the first one with such venom that we had to keep it going. People saw her reaction to it and started tuning in to see what we would do next.”

I will turn things over to Dale Metzger to get us started!”

Live Via Satellite: “Thanks Bill! Before I start I just have one final thought on the Bonsaw Jack matter. Bonesaw’s is one of many horror stories I’ve heard about XWA management and Alexis Santos from back in the E-Fed wars days. It makes me wonder what will happen to this new XWA under Alexis Santos and Bubba Riley. Have they learned from their past mistakes or will we see the company fall down around them once more? If the first episode of Fever is any indication I’d say they learned.

The first match was one of two preshow matches or dark matches as they are sometimes called. It was the unlikely tag team of Sacrilege & Larry “the Man” Rideout VS Schism & Mr. ML. The masked duo were game and wowed the crowd with some highflying moves but in the end “The Man” managed to make a hot tag to the seven foot monster Sacrilege. Sacrilege steamrolled through Schism and Mr. ML with nothing but raw power and at one hitting a double chokeslam on the masked duo. The match ended when Sacrilege hit a massive sit-out powerbomb on Mr. ML. He then tagged in Rideout who made the pin picking up his first pinfall victory in 20 years. It was decent starting match not great but the fans in attendance enjoyed it and gave Rideout a standing ovation for the victory. I’m not sure if XWA plans to keep Rideout and Sacrilege together or if it was a onetime thing but it would certainly make for an interesting tag team dynamic. The most noteworthy thing about the match beside Rideout actually winning was the stare down that occurred on the ramp between Sydd Future and Sacrilege as Sydd made his way to the ring for the next preshow match.”

Bill Ashton

Bill Ashton

Is In AWI Newsroom and says: “I think the Rideout/Sacrilege teaming was probably a one off thing. According to sources it was originally booked to be Unknown & Rideout teaming up but when Unknown got called up to the majors as it were changes were needed and Sacrilege got the nod to team up with Rideout. Based on the fan reaction though XWA may want to reconsider that. The stare down with Sydd could be a nod to a future, no pun intended, feud down the road between Sydd and Sacrilege.

In the second Preshow match Sydd Future took on The Eastside Brawler in a pure 80’s squash match. Sydd pinned the brawler in just over a minute after a Future Shock powerbomb. Nothing special about this one just a power showcase for Sydd. Next on to the main card!”

Live Via Satellite: “After a very well done opening credits that featured the dusting off of the old XWA arena the show started with the new owners in the center of the ring and Alexis Santos gloating about taking over AWX and rechristening it XWA. Her first act as the new owner was to fire play-by-play announcer Vinny McMadden and replace him with former XWA play-by-play girl Patience Devine and her husband Gawwwaaadgus Gavin Glitter. Alexis wasn’t done with the firings just yet and called the Parody Gang to the ring where she reduced Lexi Licious to tears and fired her and the rest of the Parody gang. The gang all left except for Herpes the Clown who uncharacteristically was out of costume. Herpes as many fans will remember was one of the most ferocious womens wrestlers of all time competing in JEWCW under the name Blood Reaper. Herpes cut a scathing promo on Alexis then threw the Herpes wig in her face before leaving. Unfortunately for Herpes Alexis had the last laugh when she had Violent Ed of the wicked clowns attack Herpes throwing her off the stage and through a stack of tables. The Parody Gang came to Herpes side and we witnessed Lexi Licious transitioning into Elvira Von Reshke as she shook with rage glaring at Alexis and when the cameras went to commercial the fans in the arena got more as Lexi screamed at Alexis in the raspy voice she was famous for when she competed as Elvira. I expected the opening segment would either have something to do with Krull Valhalla or the Parody Gang. I was not disappointed. You will see the Parody gang again although you may not recognize them when they return in their old gimmicks before they became the parody gang. Also I’m told that we’ll be seeing Vinny McMadden again on TV very soon as well. What his role will be is unknown at the moment  “

Is In AWI Newsroom and says: “I look forward to seeing Blood Reaper competing in an XWA ring. She was so vicious back in the day in JEWCW that eventually the other women on the roster refused to get in the ring with her and she started wrestling the men and let me tell ya some of them didn’t fare any better than the women! Next up on the card was suppose to be a tag team match featuring The Rogue Warriors VS Ghetto Heat. The Rogues came out on the stage and informed the crowd that due to an oversight the Rogues contract had expired and they weren’t contractually obligated to wrestle. They put the blame squarely on management and said until a new deal was finalized that the fans wouldn’t see them in an XWA ring again. They then challenged Alexis to make them a serious offer instead of trying to undercut them so they could get back in the ring and do what they do best “kicking ass”. The Rogues then left and the referee proceeded to count the Rogues out awarding the match to Ghetto Heat. On a related note I will be at the upcoming XWA Pay Per View “Dangerous Liaisons to present The Rogue Warriors with a special AWI Tag Team of the Decade Award. Alexis Santos has assured me that The Rogue Warriors will be there to accept the award. She says that both sides are very close on a new contract.

Live Via Satellite: Really? My sources say they aren’t even close to a new deal. I guess we’ll have to wait and see who is right. Next on the card was an intriguing match up, a six-man tag featuring Surge, Daemon Anarchy & Ronan Rage taking on The Gathering as they are now called, represented by The Bringers of Pain and Reese Cyborg and with the Nuclear Warrior in their corner.  Lets take a quick look back at what went down in this one. You won’t believe fans!”

SURGE

Is in the XWA Ring and Says: *The match is joined in progress. Ronan Rage connects with a desperation superman punch and both he and Wrath of the Bringers of Pain lay sprawled on the mat. Both me stir feebly then slowly drag themselves towards their respective corners. Wrath tags in Reese Cyborg tries to stop Rage from tagging in a fresh man. Rage manages to tag me in before Cyborg can stop him. I charge into the ring a house of fire laying into Cyborg with lefts and rights backing him into the nearest corner. Fury jumps into the ring and tries to attack me from behind but I catch him with a back hand to the face. I Irish whip Fury to the opposite corner following him in catching him with a high impact Surge splash in the corner. I cup my hand around my mouth letting out a mighty “WOOO” then charges across connecting with another splash. I charge back and forth hitting multiple splashes on Fury and Cyborg. Finally Wrath hits the ring after having recovered from the superman punch and attacks me from behind.  All hell breaks loose as Anarchy and Rage hit the ring as well. Rage connects with a vicious spear on Wrath sending them both tumbling through the ropes to the floor while Anarchy hits a high crossbody on Cyborg taking them both over the top rope to the floor leaving myself and Fury alone in the ring. I grab Fury’s legs and hooks him in the Surge Deathlock turning him over on his stomach. I face Nuclear Warrior on the outside of the ring and gives him his own personal “WOO” as Fury writhes in pain with his hand raised about to tap out. Nuclear Warrior climbs up on the ring apron and I immediately release the hold and makes my way to the ropes meeting Warrior as he gets up on the apron. We stare each other down nose to nose for a moment then Warrior slaps me hard across the face and drops back to the floor laughing. incensed I chase out of the ring after the Warrior and chases him all the way up the ramp and through the curtains…*

The Man Called

SURGE?

Is at the Gorilla Position and Says: *The Footage fast forwards to seven minutes and forty seconds later. Ronan Rage is down on the outside and Daemon Anarchy is in the ring getting beaten from pillar to post by Wrath. Wrath whips Anarchy into a corner then charges at him with his head down. Anarchy dives out of the way at the last second and Wrath slams into the ring post shoulder first almost falling out of the ring entirely. Anarchy scratches and claws his way towards his corner but there is no one for him to tag. Suddenly there is a deafening roar from the crowd as I explode through the curtains sprinting to ring. I clamber up onto the ring apron in our corner and stretches out my hand as far as I can almost falling into the ring as I bounce on the ropes begging for the hot tag. Anarchy dives into the corner tagging me in just as Wrath recovers holding his shoulder. I charge into the ring meeting Wrath in the center of the ring then I stop dead in my tracks smiling at Wrath then slowly turns around looking down on Anarchy. I grab a handful of Anarchy’s hair dragging him backwards to his feet and hooks his head under my arm. I pause momentarily soaking in the fan’s stunned reaction then plants Anarchy with an inverted DDT. I get back to my feet and yells at Wrath to finish it. Wrath drags Anarchy to his feet and tags in Fury who scales the turnbuckles. Wrath then picks up Anarchy in a bear hug and Fury launches himself off the top rope connecting with a thunderous shoulder tackle slamming Anarchy into the mat. Fury pounces on Anarchy hooking the leg while mugging for the camera with his tongue hanging out. The Ref slaps the mat 1-2-3! Declaring The Gathering the winners. All four of us celebrate in the ring raising our hands in victory. Rage rolls back into the ring having witnessed by betrayal and confronts me grabbing my shoulder and wheeling me around to face him. Rage berates me for turning on him and Anarchy but before he can do anything else he is blindsided by Cyborg with a hellacious spear wiping Rage out. All four of us then proceed to stomp the hell out of both Anarchy and Rage. Satisfied that both Rage and Anarchy are down to stay we raise our hands in victory as the fans boo and pelts us with garbage. The Nuclear Warrior looks on from the top of the ramp grinning as the show goes to commercial.*

Live Via Satellite: “There has been quite a bit of speculation as to what is going on with this storyline and there are two trains of thought on it. ONE: Surge is playing mind games with Anarchy and Rage and it’s been Surge attacking all along. Surge has been a babyface for most of his career save for the brief time he was tagging with the Nuclear Warrior as one half of the Blade Warriors. So some believe that Surge is turning heel. TWO: There is indeed a fake and if there is there is a very strong possibility that its actually Shawn Bourbon, Steve “Surge” Bourbon’s identical twin brother. Steve and Shawn teamed early in their careers as the Bourbon Street Twins. “Fake” angles have been done before but usually the fake doesn’t resemble the original much at all. The fake is usually a different height or is bigger than the original or simply looks nothing like the original. That isn’t the case here. Whichever way it turns out this angle has captured my attention.

Is In AWI Newsroom and says: “Yes The Bourbon Street Twin I remember taking a few shots of them back in the day in Bill Westt’s Ultimate Wrestling Organization! As I recall after Bill Westt split them up Shawn went on to have a very successful run in Japan in JEWCW as Dragon’s Fyre Super as sort of doppelganger of Dragons Fyre Tenzahn with blonde hair and a white suit and mask. He was a foil for many years for Tenzahn. My sources say that Shawn has been at few XWA shows lately but so far he hasn’t been signed by XWA.

Next up on the card was probably the worst match of the night both from a performance point of view and a commentary point of view. It was Alex Santos son of XWA owner Alexis Santos against Crimson. It started in the back when young Alex felt that Crimson disrespected XWA alumni Honey. I became an impromptu match in which Alex showed us just how green he is and speaking of green XWA third color commentator Adam Mooney joined the table for this match and well it was brutal. Mooney made numerous flubs and could seem to find his rhythm out there, of course that could have be in part due to Glitter and Devine’s commentary which was equally as bad. In the end Alex was beaten from pillar to post and just when it looked like it was all over for Alex, his mother Alexis made her presence felt by threating to reveal Crimson’s “Secret”. Crimson released Alex and left the ring allowing the Junior Santos to pick up the win via count out. That wasn’t the end of Alex Santos night…not by a long shot!”

Live Via Satellite: “That’s right Bill, XCW mainstay Detox made his way through the capacity crowd swilling beer and smoking cigarettes. Detox then proceeded to obliterate Alex Santos with the Singapore cane all in an effort to get the attention of one Paul Hammond who at the R.D. Bradley tournament turned his back on XCW. Detox want an explanation from Hammond. Hammond claimed to have done it for himself. Putting himself first for a change. Detox almost got his hands on Hammond only to get taken down by the monster Unknown. Security then cuffed Detox and dragged him out of the building.  As a result of what transpired a match has been signed and will take place on the “Dangerous Liaisons” preshow, it will be Alex Santos VS Detox in a Singapore cane on a pole match! I’m not liking Alex’s chances in this one Bill! One final note about the commentary in this match, We here at the Wrestling Watchtower did a top 20 list of play-by-play announcers in wrestling and Adam Mooney ranked 19th just ahead of Patience Devine at 20th and they were only on the list to fill the 20. Gavin Glitter didn’t even make the list! So that will tell you a little something about the state of XWA’s announce table!”

This occurred on on the Preshow of the R.D. Bradley Memorial tournament. This was a publicity stunt to help the bolster the box office run of Rock movie “No Moves Barred which currently isn’t even remotely close to the top 10 at the moment. Jaxxus appeared on the X-tron and challenged Rock to a match but not just any match a “No Moves Barred Cage Match at “Dangerous Liaisons”! My sources are also telling me that XWA is in talks with Randy Rampage to be involved in the match in some way! This is a definite necessity as Jaxxus has absolutely no in ring experience and having someone the caliper of Randy Rampage involved given his checkered past with Rock Remmington will take a great deal of the pressure of of Jaxxus. Rock of course accepted the match and was then attacked by Gangland who left Remmington lying in the ring. You may recognize Gangland as the bumbling pork rind eating Bubba Licious of the parody gang. This was a test run to gauge what the reaction would be for the former parody buffoon. I must say he passed the test with flying colors! Also noteworthy Erik Richmond at the beginning of the segment had Sir Albert Haynes removed as the host of the Capitol Video exclusive segment. Rumor has it he will be replaced by Jon Laurenzo, the brother of Rogue Warrior Beast.”

Fast paced action! Double team moves galore! The Models managed to steal a win from Strike Team when their manager Alexandra Magnum got involved. Alexandra attempt to hit Rick Mantel with her laptop only to get thwarted by Tino Santinni who tried to snatch the laptop out of Alexandra’s hands. A tussle ensued over the laptop and Tino accidently struck Mantel in the back of the neck with the laptop when he pulled it out of Alexandra’s grip. Mantel had Biggs in the Montreal Crab at the time and was on the verge of submitting Biggs. The Models capitalized on the inadvertent laptop strike hitting a blockbuster bulldog from the top rope to pick up the win. Afterwards there was some dissention in the ranks as Mantel was clearly upset with Santinni. A rematch has been signed for “Dangerous Liaisons”. It remains to be seen though whether or not Mantel and Santinni will be on the same page or is this the beginning of the end of Strike Team!”

I raise the mic to my lips* “HOOOOOOO! My name is Bucksaw Jim Dawson folks! Is at the Gorilla Position and Says: *”Stars and Stripes forever” blasts from the loud speakers as  “THE HERO YOU NEED” scrolls across the X-tron. I step out on the stage waving a large American flag. I walk to the end of the stage and gives the cheering fans a military salute. I walk to the other end of the stage and does the same. Finally I come back to the center of the stage. I reach into my jacket pocket pulling out a mic and signals to stop the music. The music stops and I raise the mic to my lips.* “My name is Iron Eagle and I am here to be the Hero this nation needs! I Stand for truth! I stand for justice! I stand for America! I will fight those who oppose her! I will fight those who offend her sensibilities! I am her blade of swift and undeniable justice! If you don’t love this great country of ours then by God I’ll toss your ass out and I’ll start tonight with the Ruskie and the Jockey! *The footage ends and my face appears on screen once more* “This to me is going to be a very different take on the classic patriotic character gimmick. Look at the words that rolled up on the screen “The hero you need”. Not the hero you want its kinda like he’s trying to force the fans to accept him and that near racial slur wow! That caused quite an uproar on social media. Some demanding that Iron Eagle fired and others in complete agreement with him. Lets take a look at the finish of the match.”

<<<XWA VIDEO REPLAY>>>

IRON EAGLE

The Hero You Need

Is at the XWA Ringside and Says: *I struggle to my feet as The Golden Sheik connects with a vicious kick to the side of Dawson’s head with the loaded boot crumpling Dawson to the mat. Maximov grabs the Soviet flag standing next to the ring just as I grab Dawson’s 2X4. We both swing for the fences and the 2X4 snaps the flag pole like a twig. Maximov looks horrorstruck and and begs off. Hoping to catch me off guard Maximov then lunges at me and I catch him coming in with 2×4 shot to the rib cage doubling Maximov over. I follow up with a heavy 2X4 shot to Maximov’s back crumpling him to the floor. I walk over to Maximov’s corner where the Iranian flag is stand and swings the 2X4 like a bat shattering the pole. I grab the pieces of both flags and tosses them into the crowd who roars with approval. Distracted, Sheik turns his attention to me following me to my corner as I throw down the 2X4 and picks up old glory waving it with vigor. Sheik reaches over the ropes trying to grab the flag from me just as Dawson attempts as school boy roll up. Sheik grabs onto the top rope trying not to fall. As he flails about trying to maintain his balance I climb up on the ring apron and then rams the end of the flag pole into Sheik’s throat. Sheik releases the rope clutching his throat and is pulled down into the school boy pin. The ref comes to having seen nothing of what transpired and slaps the mat 1-2-3! Declaring Dawson and I the winners. Dawson rolls out of the ring holding his head as we embrace then raise our hands in victory. The video replay is shown on the X-tron and Dawson sees for the first time everything I did. Dawson becomes upset as he points at the screen and then at me asking “what the hell was that?” I play innocent shrugging my shoulders as we continue to argue all the way up the ramp and through the curtains.*

<<<VIDEO REPLAY ENDS>>>

*The footage ends and the camera returns to a shot of me at my desk* “Not exactly a wholesome all American way to win a match.”

Live Via Satellite: “Indeed Bill. Another interesting development coming out of that match is after the match was over Maximov got back in the ring and turned on his tag team partner The Golden Sheik viciously assaulting him. Maximov then got on the mic and challenged Dawson and Iron Eagle to a rematch at “Dangerous Liaisons” saying he would bring in a new tag partner, a partner he could trust he would bring in his family, Nikita Maximov. Maximov also stated that he wanted the match to be a flag match.

Now on to the final segment of the of the show! The Final segment was a heated back and forth between Champion Jon Hardcastle Jr and challenger AJ Prophet. Things became very heated between the two. Alexis Santos and her pet monster Unknown were also in the ring trying to keep both champion and challenger in check. Both me didn’t want to wait until “Dangerous Liaisons” but Alexis Santos laid down the law and refused to let the match happen until the PPV. Prophet got a cheap shot in on Unknown then left leaving an irate champion in the ring to argue with the boss. Alexis declared that Jon Jr. would defend the title that night then in a shocking turn of events Alexis unleashed her pet monster Unknown on Jon Jr. himself! former XWA mainstay Nightmare then made his long awaited return and swooped in to pick the bones and win the XWA championship!”

Is In AWI Newsroom and says: “It was certainly an explosive finish to the first episode of XWA Fever! Nightmare was rumored to be in the R.D. Bradley tournament and in the Carnage costume. That apparently was changed at the last moment and now we know why. What does this now mean for the XWA World Championship match? As we know all former champions have a rematch clause meaning that the former champion gets an automatic rematch. Does this mean that the title match at “Dangerous Liaisons” will be a 3 way dance? Only time will tell! Until then this Bill Ashton along with Dale Metzger signing off we hope you’ve enjoyed our little show and we will be right back here next week to review episode! Thanks for watching and goodnight fans!” *The camera pans out to a full studio shot as Dale and I continue to chat. The credits begin to role and the lights dim as the show goes off the air.*
